| Eltham Jones , from Caerphilly/Bristol | 17-Sep-2009 | | Hey guys, I have been a user and endorsee of Milliput since the late seventies and became friendly with Jack and Lena in about 1982, developing many of the techniques that now seem to be commonplace (Nice to see that my article is reproduced on the front page. In the nineties I used it to produce the patterns for a range of model aircraft kits which became the first resin moulded kits to assemble in the manner of an injection moulded ones. The first 1/72 injection moulded kit of the BAC TSR2 - by Merlin Models - was made using patterns made by me from Milliput...
Glad to see that the company is still prospering in these difficult times. Love to Lena, Eddie and Jane.

| mandy , from st austell | 13-Aug-2009 | | im finding it hard to get hold of it i need it in bulk as i make alot of modals im doing a big one at the moment and cant afford to keep running out any suggestions welcome x |
| Steve Knight , from Australia | 04-Aug-2009 | | Nice tooth Jerry, and congrats!
I am performing a steering conversion on an old 60s Chevrolet instrument carrier made of ABS plastic. After unsuccessful attempts using body filler, and racking my brain trying to find a better, more suitable product, I somehow found milliput. This great product not only gave me plenty of curing time to form into shape, I was able to change it's viscosity using just water. It's fine resolution gave a great finish at a tiny scale and it cured with plenty of strength and adheasion. Quite honestly, it saved the instrument carrier from a very sub-standard result. Great stuff! |
| Jerry Swattridge , from Nelson, Treharris | 03-Aug-2009 | | I think i've just found a new use for Milliput!
Making your own tooth.
Recently, just before my wedding day, i had to have a front tooth extracted.
So instead of looking like a country hick on my big day, i decided to have a go at making my own tooth out of Milliput.
I moulded the Milliput to the right shape, then placed it into the gap when it was half set, then i let it dry, when it was set it fitted the gap like a glove.
I painted it to match the colour of my own teeth using acrylic paint, then i sealed it in using a cold glaze.
Here's a pic of me all smiles on my wedding day and no one could tell the difference.
I bet you can't tell which one is my home made milliput tooth!

| Huw Williams , from Ebbw Vale Gwent Wales | 09-Mar-2009 | | I have been using milliput since 1981. I used it for every sculpting I did for Trophy Miniatures, it holds up all the shelves and curtain rails in the house in lieu of rawlplugs, I repaired my mothers leaking hot water tank with it, restored a battered, antique samovar and I used it to make a bonnet release catch for my Renault scenic. This week I have used it to make a mould to cast turrets for a batch of 25 model tanks I am scratchbuilding. There are never less than 2 packs around the house at any time. It's a wonderfully versatile product. |
| Richard W. Brown , from Malvern Worcestershire | 05-Feb-2009 | | I have been using Milliput for a number of years now and its uses are endless. I have repaired my mobility scooter, several of my grandchildrens toys and even bikes. I have even made jewellery with it and several crosses. Best of all was the replacement of the lead lettering on my wifes grave. To replace the letters with lead would have cost a fortune. I cleaned up the stone and laid a thin layer of milliput over the recess left by the intitial letters pressed it into place then when the milliput became more pliable simply used a raxor blade to cut around the imprints. Then used external fixative to secure the letters. Magic. Always very impressed. |
| Richard Baker , from Peterborough | 11-Dec-2008 | | Milliput is a fantastic product - durable, versatile and easily worked. |
| Jason Ryan , from St. Helens Merseyside UK | 14-Nov-2008 | | I use the Superfine White on my custom figures, its superb to work with ! |
| jeannie , from burscough uk ormskirk | 26-Oct-2008 | | I Use Milliput every day in my pottery restoration work |
| John Hubert , from Carmarthen Wales UK | 08-Jul-2008 | | Milliput is such an incredibly useful and effective product that I find it hard to understand why it is not available everywhere. I have used it for every kind of repair job for years and years. Plugging, fixing, sealing, reshaping - everything! I couldn't live without it! Every job lasts forever too. Perhaps as the recession bites deeper, we will become a less "throw-away" society and value Milliput more. |
| Alex , from York England | 12-Jun-2008 | | I have been using milliput for just under a year now for sculpting and converting Warhammer models, my models would be alot less individual without it! |
| richard gale , from Unspecified | 08-Mar-2008 | | i originally used milliut for my figure modelling. i now use it extensively in my trade as a ceramic designer. definately one of the best products. its almost too good to be belived. and amazing that it can be worked with unprotected hands. if all else fails, milliput!

| alwyn luke , from ruabon, wrexham Clywd Wales | 08-Mar-2008 | | I have used Milliput several times over the past few years, and i think the product is fantastic! I have mainly used it to repair my motorbike exhaust pipes etc, but i have also used it for general D.I.Y repairs around the house. I know you dont endorse using the microwave oven to warm up the sticks, but i do put them in for about 15 seconds on full power, and i find that i can knead them together with a knife and then finish off mixing by hand. the warmth from using the microwave allows me greater flexibility when applying the putty to the job.
Thanks again for a great product, i get it from a local store in Rhos, near Wrexham. It flies off the shelf as soon as it comes in, so i always buy a box when im up in the village!
Hope youve found this of interest, many thanks, alwyn luke. |
| Richard Wright , from Lancashire England | 27-Oct-2007 | | I first met Jack when my job involved inspecting factories for fire precautions but as we found we had a common interest in Alpine Plants I tended to go there more than my job required. The fact that we lived just a few hundred yards apart meant garden visits were also possible. Jack was just starting in Milliput but he told me in glowing terms about its properties and I was not surprised some years later, again doing inspections but this time on a country wide scale to find he had moved to Dolgellau which is where I next visited him and learned all about his move to world-wide production. He was a wonderful friend and it was most distressing to hear, when next I was planning a trip to Wales that he had passed away. A lovely man who I was priveledged to know. |
| ROB hEY , from Aberdeen Scotland | 07-Oct-2007 | | I have been using Milliput since the mid '70s. Not just for filling gaps in models, but for original work, small part casting, domestic repairs, auto repairs.... the list goes on.
There isn't much that Milliput won't do, and a lot that Millput CAN do better than anything else.
My only comment is that it can sometimes be difficult to get. |
| paul mckeever , from manchester | 12-Aug-2007 | | I have used the black milliput to patch up a hole in my motorcyles exhaust ,I own a Honda pan european and the system is not cheap , but milliput has done a great job ,and saved me a small fortune .Well done for producing such a brilliant product ,I,ll certainly spread the word, as well as the milliput..thanks once again.

| Dave Short , from Wythenshawe U K Manchester | 22-May-2006 | | A good friend told me about Milliput a while ago and l have used it for DIY in the home and on the car and in the garden - many times ever since. I keep a spare carton handy for emergencies. Great product, thanks!

| Hamlin's Restoration Studio , from Ballwin MO USA | 17-Jan-2001 | | As a professional restorer of fine china, porcelain and pottery I wouldn't be without a good supply of Milliput. I've tried many other types of fill but nothing matches up to the ease of use and beautiful results. We can duplicate the finest flower or leaf with Milliput and its hard to tell which is the original. I recommend it to all our students.
